On my way to Seville from Barcelona, I decided to spend a day in this not so sleepy town of Cordoba in Spain. The city has a history dating back to 152 BC when it was a Roman Settlement. From Muslim Invasions to Christian retrieval, Cordoba has seen it all. The city now stands proudly on the northern bank of one of the largest European rivers, Guadalquivir. It is also declared the UNESCO World Heritage City. Cordoba is not just for history buffs, its narrow cobbled lanes flanked by sparkling white Moorish houses make it a fairytale town of Spain. All these houses are decked up with the vibrant flowers during the spring flower festival. The indigo designed Moorish tiles just give them a perfect Cordovian look, as I felt. There is an end number of things to do in Cordoba, Spain even if you visit it just for one day.

A city where each building tells a story of its terrific past, a city that rose to its glory despite falling prey to the World Wars, a city that bustles along the leisurely flowing Spree… Berlin can’t fit in just one description. There is a massive influx of tourists in this historic city for its museums, ruins, Concentration camps, street art, parks and the Parliament building. You can even declare it as an open museum for a history buff. However, Berlin offers much more than just history lessons. I spent 48 hours in this city to explore the best things to do in Berlin beyond its historic sites. Undoubtedly, even some historic sites were equal fun and informative.
There are a variety of opinions when it comes to Couchsurfing. I have had the best and even the worst of the Couchsurfing experiences in Europe. If I conclude my journey I can definitely say, Couchsurfing really helped me live a life of local. Had I not been Couchsurfing, my Indian soul would have definitely got bored of the ‘space’ given by the Europeans. I am much thankful to this platform for all the amazing experiences that I have had.

If we would call Salzburg a city of panoramic viewpoints, it wouldn’t be an exaggeration at all. In fact, a whole day can be spent in finding these best views from various points in Salzburg. While some are easily reachable by the cable cars, others can be accessed by beautiful and secluded hiking trails. Salzburg’s ideal location on the bank of the river Salzach tucked in between two steep hilly range makes it offer a number of viewpoints right within the city.
Cologne, a German city with 2000 years old history, leaves an impeccable impression on the mind of a curious traveller. The ruins of Roman Era, a beautiful river view, the third tallest cathedral in the world, museums, riverside restaurants and the centuries-old colourful buildings decked on the harbour of River Rhine; they all make this city a cultural hub of Western Europe.
